Interlinear Translation: “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I shall dwell in the house of Jehovah for the length of days.”
Strong’s Concordance Translation: “SURELY = only, in any wise, at least, but, certainly, even, howbeit, nevertheless, notwithstanding, only, save, of a surety, truly, verily. GOODNESS = well, beautiful, bountiful, cheerful, at ease, be in favour, fine, glad, joyful, loving, pleasant, pleasure, precious, prosperity, ready, sweet, wealth, welfare, be well favored. AND MERCY = kindness, piety, favor, good deed, kindly, loving kindness, merciful, pity. SHALL FOLLOW ME = to run after, figuratively of time gone by, chase, put to flight, follow after, follow on, pursue. ALL THE DAYS = to be hot, a day as the warm hours, from sunrise to sunset, from one sunset to the next, age, chronicles, continually, seasons, perpetuity. OF MY LIFE = alive, raw flesh, strong, living thing, appetite, company, congregation, lifetime, multitude, running, springing, troop. AND I WILL DWELL = to sit down specially as judge in ambush, in quiet, by implication to remain, causative to marry, to settle, make to abide, continue, endure, establish, habitation, make to keep house, lurking, tarry. IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD = family, insideward, palace, place, steward, temple, within. FOR EVER = for length of days, for long, to be or make long, defer, draw out, lengthen, prolong, tarry long.
