King James Translation: “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
Interlinear Translation: “Cast on Jehovah your lot, and he will keep you; not He will give forever moving to the righteous.”
Strong’s Concordance Translation: “CAST = to throw down, out, away, forth, off, adventure, hurl, pluck, throw. THY BURDEN = what is given by providence, i.e. lot, to put, ascribe, come one, give, set. UPON THE LORD = superimposition of time, place, order as a relation of distribution, i.e. over of rest of direction, towards. AND HE SHALL SUSTAIN THEE = to keep in, hence to measure, figuratively to maintain, be able to, can, comprehend, contain, feed, forbearing, guide, hold in, nourish, be present, make provision, provide victuals. HE SHALL NEVER SUFFER = never give, never add, never apply, never appoint, never ascribe, never assign, thrust. THE RIGHTEOUS = just, lawful, be right, cleansed, justified, made right. TO BE MOVED = to waver, by implication to slip, shake, fall, be carried, cast, be out of course, be fallen in decay. Falling down, be removed, shake, slid, slip.
