Interlinear Translation: “So then, brethren, we are not of a maid-servant children, but of the free woman.”
Strong’s Concordance Translation: SO THEN = drawing a conclusion, denoting an inference more or less decisive as follows: haply, what manner, no doubt, perhaps, so be, then, therefore, truly, wherefore. BRETHERN = union, the womb, near or remote much like, privation. WE ARE NOT CHILDREN = not a child as produced, child, daughter, son. OF THE BONDWOMAN = a female slave or servant, bondmaid, damsel, maiden. BUT OF THE FREE = unrestrained to go at pleasure, i.e. as a citizen not a slave whether freeborn or manumitted, or exempt from obligation or liability, freewoman, woman at liberty.
