Key Verse: Obadiah 4:

King James Translation: “Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thou next among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the Lord.”

Interlinear Translation: “Though you rise high as the eagle, and between though the stars, to set your nest, from there I will bring you down declares Jehovah.”

Strong’s Concordance Translation: “THOUGH THOU EXALT THYSELF = to soar, i.e. be lofty, figuratively to be haughty, be or make high, lift up, mount up, be proud, raise up great height, upward. AS THE EAGLE = to lacerate. AND THOUGH THOU SET = to put, appoint, bring, change, commit, consider, convey, determine. THOU NEXT AMONG THE STARS = rolling in the sense of blazing, a star as round or shining, figuratively a prince. THENCE = a primary particle there transferring to time then, often thither, whither. WILL I BRING THEE DOWN, SAITH THE LORD = to descend, to go downwards, or conventionally to a lower region as a shore, a boundary, the enemy.
