Philemon 1:15

For: Assigning a reason used in an argument, explanation or intensification, and, as, because that, but, even.

Perhaps: Shortly, i.e. possibly, peradventure, prompt or ready, swift.

He therefore: The channel of an act, by reason of, thereby, through, through that thing, hereunto, through the same, thus, wherefore.

Departed: To place room between, i.e. part, to go away, put asunder, separate, empty expanse, i.e. a space of territory more or less extensive.

For: A preposition of direction, forward to, i.e. toward, about, because of, against, because of.

A season: Day, hour, instant, eventide, and a high time.

That: In order that denoting the purpose or the result, albeit, because, to the intent that, so as, so that.

Thou shouldest receive: To have out, i.e. to receive in full, be, have.

Him; The other, mine own, this man.

Forever: Perpetual, eternal, everlasting, world began, perpetual, regularly, earnestly.

 

Philemon 1:16

Not now: Not yet, no longer, after that, not any more, henceforth not, hereafter not, no longer, no more.

As: Which how, i.e. in that manner, about, after that, according as it had been, it were.

A servant: A slave, frequently therefore in a qualified sense of subjection or subserviency, bondman.

But: Other things, contrariwise in many relations, and, but even, howbeit, indeed, nay, nevertheless.

Above: Over, i.e. with the genitive of place, above, beyond, across, or causative for the sake of, instead, regarding, with the accusative superior to, more than, exceeding abundantly.

A servant: A slave, frequently therefore in a qualified sense of subjection, or subserviency, bondman.

A brother: Union, the womb, near or remote.

Beloved: Dearly, dearly beloved, well beloved, dear.

Especially: Very, most in the greatest degree or particularly, chiefly, most of all, specially.

To me: I, me, mine, my.

But: An adversative or continuative, and, now.

How much: How long, how large, how many, how great, what.

Unto thee: To thee, to thine own, thou, thy.

Both: A primary particle having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force.

In: Fixed position in place, time, or state by implication instrumentality, a relation of rest.

The flesh: As stripped of the skin, the body as opposed to the soul or spirit, human nature with frailties (physical or moral) and passions, carnally minded.

And: A primary particle having a copulative and sometimes a cumulative effect.

In: Fixed position in place, time or state and by implication instrumentality medially or constructively i.e. a relation of rest.

The Lord: Supremacy, supreme in authority, i.e. as controller, by implication Mr., as a respectful title, God, Sir, Master.
