King James Translation: “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.”
Interlinear Translation: “By faith having been divinely instructed Noah concerning the things not yet seen, having been moved with fear, prepared an ark for the salvation of house his; by which he condemned the world, and of the according to faith righteousness became heir.”
Strong’s Concordance Translation: “BY FAITH = persuasion, i.e. credence, morally conviction of religious truth, reliance upon Christ for salvation, constancy in such profession, system or religious truth itself, assurance, belief, believe, fidelity. NOAH = rest, quiet, resting place, settle down, to dwell, stay, let fall, place, let alone, withdraw, give comfort, cease, confederate, lay, let down, quiet, remain. BEING WARNED OF GOD = to utter an oracle, i.e. divinely intimate, be called, be admonished, reveal, speak. OF THINGS NOT SEEN AS YET = not to look at, not behold, not beware, not lie, not perceive, not regard, no sight, not take heed. MOVED WITH FEAR = to be circumspect, to be apprehensive, religiously, to reverence. PREPARED = to prepare thoroughly properly by external equipment, to construct, build, make, ordain. AN ARK = a box.
