Interlinear Translation: “Even as Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.”

 

Strong’s Concordance Translation: “EVEN = where down, just or inasmuch, as, that, according to, according as, even as, how, when. AS ABRAHAM = to be populous, father of a multitude. BELIEVED GOD = to have faith in, upon or with respect to, i.e. credit, by implication to entrust especially one’s spiritual well-being to Christ, believer, commit to trust, put in trust with. AND IT WAS ACCOUNTED = to take an inventory, i.e. estimate, conclude, account of, esteem, impute, lay, number, reason, reckon, suppose, think on. TO HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS = equity of character or act, specially Christian justification.
